Mark Wester
Executive Director
Mark holds an abundance of clinical and healthcare leadership experience. His early career focused on helping youth with behavioral challenges and their families. He quickly advanced into leadership positions, of which he now has over 20 years of experience. Prior to leading ComCor, he held the position of Director of Office of Community Access and Independence at the Colorado Department of Human Services. He managed four state divisions and improved healthcare outcomes in Colorado’s Regional Centers, as well as enhanced Veterans Community Living Centers.
Mark earned his Master of Science degree from Purdue University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Southwest Baptist University.
Shannon Chase
Vice Chairperson
Shannon Chase is currently the Vice President of Commercial Lending at The Eastern Colorado Bank. Shannon is responsible for the management, growth and performance of a commercial real estate loan portfolio including the sourcing, underwriting, booking and collateral perfection of client investments. He is also responsible for the development and implementation of a targeted marketing strategy that is cost and time effective for production personnel and yields a targeted Return on Equity for the Bank. Shannon brings with him, a great deal of knowledge and experience in leadership and community involvement.
Ryan Darilek
Secretary
Ryan Darilek has over 20 years of Construction Industry Experience, directing a Full Scope of Construction Projects that Include New Build and Renovation Works of both Residential and Commercial Properties and Communities. He has a proven track record of success in achieving time, budget, and quality goals on a broad range of projects. Ryan has a strong background in construction management and is highly knowledgeable in scheduling, budgeting, costing, contract negotiations, subcontractor relationship management and all structural and architectural aspects of construction. Ryan has extensive familiarity with safety, building code, regulatory compliances, and both on and off-site management.
Weston Thomas
Former Chairperson
Weston Thomas has been working in commercial brokerage since 2010 where he specializes in investment sales. Prior to working in commercial real estate, Weston attended Colorado State University (graduating with degrees in Finance and Real Estate as well as a minor in Economics), was an analyst with Smith Barney and a Portfolio Manager for American National Bank’s Wealth Management department. Since 2010, Weston has quickly become one of the Colorado Springs’ premier mid-market leasing and sales agents, Winning CoStar’s Power Broker award for sales in 2017. Weston was an associate at Landmark Commercial Group and a Managing Director at Cushman & Wakefield, Colorado Springs Commercial.
Mary Carnell
Director
Mary Carnell is a Registered Nurse with over 35 years of experience. She is currently working as an instructor for EdCor providing medical education and training and serves as the CHPG Urgent Care Clinic Supervisor for Woodland Park, Monument and Colorado Springs Urgent Care sites. Mary attended Cooke County College and earned her associate degree as a Registered Nurse. Since earning her degree, Mary has acquired variety of experience as an RN that specifically attributes to her knowledge as a ComCor Board Member. She became a Health Services Administrator for the Cheyenne Mountain Re-entry Center / Correctional Facility where she gained specialized experience as a PREA Facility Compliance Manager and ADA Coordinator.
Barbara J. Winter
Director
Barbara joined Ent Credit Union in 2001. She formerly had responsibility for executive oversight of Human Resources, Payroll, Training, and the Real Estate development and Facilities divisions of Ent, as Executive VP, and coordinated community outreach and philanthropy along the Front Range, as Chief Community Officer. Barb joined Ent after a 28-year career with Colorado Interstate Gas Company, where she last held the position of Assistant Vice President of Human Resources and Administration. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Colorado State University and served on the CSU Alumni Association board, where she last held the position of President of the board. She is a graduate of the Center for Creative Leadership Community Leaders program.
Steve Anton
Director
Steve comes to Comcor’s board after retiring from successful careers in both the private and public sectors. He spent 35 years in manufacturing and technology businesses, ultimately becoming President/CEO; and then followed-up with ten years of executive experience in the Colorado Divisions of Disability Determination Services and Vocational Rehabilitation. In both the public and private sectors, his focus was on developing strong teams, delivering increased value to stakeholders and increasing the operational and financial performance of the organizations he led. He holds a BS from Purdue University and an MSBA from Indiana University.
Fletcher Howard
Director
Fletcher is a highly qualified former Police Commander with over thirty eight years of experience, which includes thirteen years of progressively responsible positions in upper level management. Fletcher is actively involved in the community, serving on numerous boards and committees. Fletcher received his Master of Arts from the University of Phoenix with a specialization in organizational management.
