ComCor attempts to provide a correctional environment for healthy change while giving the client the opportunity to interact with you, have visitations and meet his responsibilities to you or any children involved. |
Hello, family members. You’ve been through some tough times having someone you care about involved in the criminal justice system. You may have spent years of frustration trying to get the kind of help your loved one needs or trying to stop the self-destructive behavior. In some cases you may have grown tired and discouraged from the destructive behavior that your loved one has continued to demonstrate.
On top of all that, it can be very challenging and frustrating to deal with various aspects of the criminal justice system. It is a complex system that is often confusing and difficult to understand. Often it may seem like an uncaring system that does not value the thoughts, desires and advice you have concerning your loved one. We understand. ComCor attempts to provide a correctional environment for healthy change while giving the client the opportunity to interact with you, have visitations and meet his responsibilities to you or any children involved. This is subject to the nature of the crime and the type of sentence.
Clients who come to ComCor are expected to work full-time, pay rent, pay court fees and provide support for dependents. Depending on the type of offense and the sentence, the offender may have the opportunity to visit off grounds; for others a small visiting area is provided at each facility.
Many of the questions you may have about ComCor and what your loved one is experiencing or required to do are answered under Client Info. Please feel free to contact us with any additional questions or concerns. Each client who comes to ComCor will have a case manager, who will likely offer you the most specific information about your loved one and how ComCor can help.
We commend family members who have stuck by their loved ones through many years of heartbreak. By our working together, we hope we can convince your loved ones to take responsibility for their choices. While ComCor is part of the criminal justice system, we support positive growth and change in our client population. We hope to provide needed treatment so that this time things can be different. |
